Fire Stop Employment Application and Hiring Process

 

Fire Stop is accepting employment applications and resumes for qualified Engine Captains, Driver/Operators, and Professional Firefighter individuals who are hard working, self-motivated, physically fit and looking for a career with a dynamic and growing private wildfire company.  Please follow the below employment application process.

  

1. Fill out a Fire Stop application. Applications may be picked up at the Northern or Southern California Operations Centers or downloaded from the link below. Applications should be typed or filled out in black ink.

 

2. Send a copy of your completed application, current resume, contact information for two previous employers, and two personal references (other than family members).

 

3. Include in your application packet, copies of all relevant Fire Fighting, EMS, and professional certifications.

 

4. Application packets should then be mailed to the Placerville base:

 

4060 Stage Court, Unit G-3, Placerville, CA 95667

 

5. Once the application packet is received, applicants will be contacted by phone or mail.

 

6. Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an oral interview. If chosen for a conditional offer, candidates will be invited to Fire Stop’s Academy. Conditional offers will be made pending a successful reference check, clean driving record review, and clean drug test.
